November 1

Wow. This is my first blog on my own website. I’ve had a blog before years ago, but it wasn’t like this. I am in the process of building this website with a big dream of creating a business. I have so many skills that I want to share with others that I have learned by trial and error.

Speaking of trial and error, I made 2 beautiful loaves of sourdough bread today. I made my sourdough starter from scratch myself in May of last year. I also like to try things my own way, so the very first time I made bread, I didn’t give it time to rise. It was the flattest, saddest bread you’ve ever seen, but you know what? I didn’t quit. I went back to the recipe; I followed the instructions, and my bread got better and better over time. I have tweaked the recipe to my liking, and now my bread comes out like I want it almost every time.

My first loaf of bread and today’s bread are both mirrors of my life, of all of our lives probably. Not everything works out the first or fifth time, but I keep going. I am in the “keep going” chapter in my life right now. I am not where I want to be, but I can see a lot of growth in myself just as a person. Does the “keep going” chapter really ever end? No, I don’t think it does. I think sometimes we get to coast, but I am pedaling uphill right now to get to where I want to be.

I am so glad that you decided to come along on this endeavor with me as I learn more skills and teach you what I’ve learned along the way.
